Daylight saving traps woman in other time zone

DOMINION POST: Being trapped in a different time zone is not unusual for The Doctor

But after missing daylight saving this weekend, a Napier woman feared the same might have happened to her.

PolicelogoShe rang the police to find out whether she was caught in a different time zone for the next six months.

Senior Sergeant Fred van Duuren said being asked such questions is one of “the joys of being a policeman”.

UnitedFuture Leader Peter Dunne got a few grateful text messages on the weekend. He had put forward the three-week extention of daylight saving in 2007, together with Nelson City councilor Mark Holmes.
